Chinese supermarket Shanghai Chinkuan will offer free and organic Chinese-produced snacks in its store as part of the new Shanghai food fair.
The supermarket is hoping that the free snacks will be an incentive to purchase its brands in China, where it is still struggling to make up for the shortfall of its Chinese-born staff, according to the local newspaper.
The Shanghai Chinksuan has been selling its products for the past five years and said the move was designed to help attract more foreign visitors and boost its brand.
The Chinese supermarket will offer snacks such as chinese cheese, rice balls, rice noodles, and ketchup.
A spokesperson for Shanghai Chicksuan said that it would start selling the products from October 27 to November 1.
Last year, Shanghai Chitsuan began offering free Chinese products at its stores to help with its expansion.
It also launched a new mobile app in July that allows customers to book online and have a selection of food items shipped in as soon as they are ready.
