The battle for El Ranchos supermarket has been a long one.
The store has been in trouble for years because of low sales and rising rents.
Now, it has been turned into a giant eagle supermarket.
El Rancha has been owned by a company called Emea for the past 20 years, but it now faces an eviction notice.
This is an emergency, says the director of the El Ranchan supermarket, Jose Maria Guevara.
We have been in a legal fight for many years, he says.
But the legal fight has not been easy.
It was a long process, he adds, because Emeas company has not had any financial backing.
And it took years to negotiate a deal with the supermarket chain.
In the end, the deal was signed with Emeans owners.
The supermarket is one of the largest in El Salvador, and it is owned by three brothers who have lived there for many decades.
They started the company in 1985.
They had an interest in the business.
They also own an oil and gas company.
El Paseo, the name of the supermarket, is a nod to the famous street that runs from the market to the church where the church is located.
The El Ranchas are a small group of farmers who grew their own produce and bought other fruits and vegetables.
But they also have a lot of land that they want to sell.
They bought the farm land and bought land to build a supermarket.
But because of the economic crisis that happened in El Ranchol in the early 2000s, the company had to sell the land and build a bigger store.
The owners were able to secure the land.
But that was in 2010.
And when they started the supermarket in 2012, it was an emergency because of high rents.
El rancho is a small supermarket, so the company decided to turn it into an eagle store.
It had to have a high price point, and that was something that El Padeo wanted, too.
The price point of the eagle store was not high, says Jose Maria.
So we needed to raise the price to get the demand, so we sold it at a high point and we are doing that now.
The company had been struggling for years.
El Paso is the second largest city in El Chorro state, and El Ranchotos population is around 2.3 million people.
El Cajon is in the Central Valley of Texas, and is a major industrial hub, with companies such as Exxon Mobil, Chevron, and the Koch brothers.
El Rey is located in El Paso, and a big airport has been built there, so it is a destination for tourists.
El Río, a small town in the northern state of Tamaulipas, is also a big tourist destination, with a big casino and the beach there.
But El Ranchó has become a small grocery store, and there are still a lot more people living there than before.
So the company needs to grow.
In order to do that, it needs to increase its profits, says Maria.
It also needs to invest more money.
But it does not want to do this at the expense of the residents of El Ranchopó.
We need to invest in the people of El Rijo, he explains.
The fight has been difficult because of many obstacles, including the legal process, but the people are united, says Guevaara.
He says that it has taken years to resolve the dispute, and many other things that happened before that have helped to resolve it.
We want to be here for the future, he continues.
And we are not leaving our old roots behind, he tells Al Jazeera.
And El Ranchota is still here, so people will remember the store.
