A big deal for Geistler’s, a company that has been in the spotlight since the mass shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado.
The shooting at the Century 16 movie theater left six people dead and dozens wounded, and a gunman has been charged with a slew of crimes.
Geistler was one of the companies that partnered with local authorities to buy more than 2 million bullets to protect its stores.
But as the case develops, the company is looking to the future.
The news has been brewing for some time, and now the company’s CEO, Joe Geisslers, is going public with some thoughts on how things might look.
Geissler, a father of five, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he expects a big change to come from his company’s future.
It could be that the company could close shop and sell off assets to help finance its business, he said.
The big question is how long that will take.
Geissers said the company won’t know until the end of the year.
“It’s really hard to say.
We’ll see what happens in a year,” Geissls said.
“It’s just too early to say.”
As part of the deal, Geistlers said, Geissling will be allowed to use his name on Geistlin products.
Geislers said that, while the company has not reached any final agreements with any of the major distributors, he is confident that it will be able to secure an agreement with a distributor for the future of Geistlerns products.
He said the deal with the distributors will allow Geistlis products to be sold in Walmart stores and on a variety of other retailers.
“They are a very significant source of revenue for us,” he said of the distributors.
“We have no plans to discontinue the products.”
The news comes as the company faces another major headache.
Its parent company, UnitedHealth, is facing a class action lawsuit over the safety of its products.
The lawsuit alleges that UnitedHealth products cause a high number of injuries, including one that left one of its employees dead.
In addition, there have been concerns that United Health products may be unsafe for younger children.
In a statement to the AP, Geisler said he was aware of the allegations in the class action suit and had taken steps to ensure that the products are safe.
“We have implemented rigorous safety measures to prevent injury and illness and are committed to making these products available in the safest way possible,” Geislers statement said.
But he said that the lawsuit does not represent the majority of complaints against the company.
“In addition to our current compliance with applicable laws, we have ongoing complaints against us from individuals, organizations, and the public,” the statement said, referring to the lawsuits.
“These are the individuals who, in the past, complained that they were injured or killed by products manufactured by UnitedHealth,” he added.
Geisler declined to comment further.
The Associated Press has reached out to UnitedHealth for comment.
